Celebrate the life of a great friend,
and long time volunteer speaker – BOB FARSTER
Sadly, in September 2017, Bob lost his life in a tragic accident. He was struck by a truck in a crosswalk while in his wheelchair.

As a MATFORCE volunteer Bob reached over 12,800 youth and adults with his personal story about the harms of alcohol and drug abuse. In his 11 years of service to the community Bob participated in almost 580 presentations in schools, youth detention centers, civic organizations, and more. His heart was for the youth of our county. He will be greatly missed.

In honor of his memory and years of dedication, MATFORCE has created the Bob Farster Memorial Prevention Fund to further his spirit of volunteerism and willingness to do what needed to be done to make an impact.

Contributions to the Bob Farster Memorial Prevention Fund will be used to assist people in recovery in the following ways
  • Stipends for people in recovery who are doing public speaking
  • Financial aid to participants in the Yavapai Reentry Project
  • Educational tuition or other assistance
